How would you decorate your home if you were a 20-year-old and had more money than you knew what to do with?
Taylor Swift finds herself in that position and is designing some very interesting features for her 4,062-square-foot penthouse in Nashville. The most startling may be a moat-like pond to surround the living room fireplace. Another unusual design element is a human-sized bird cage observatory at the top of a spiral staircase. To top things off, the staircase is accessed via a stepping stone in the pond.
Ms. Swift can certainly afford these extravagances. According to Forbes magazine, she earned a cool $18 million last year and she stars in the new movie “Valentine’s Day”. The singer/actress has also been nominated for eight Grammy awards.
Annie: It must be nice to be young and rich!
Charlie: I’m young and I’m working on the rich part!
Annie: How are YOU going to get rich? You’re not talented like Taylor Swift.
Charlie: Haven’t you seen me dance across the living room floor when I’m chasing a toy?
Annie: Nobody’s going to pay to watch you go spastic!!!
Charlie: Just call me “Twinkle Toes”!
Annie: Get real!
Charlie: Okay. Maybe dancing isn’t my ticket to fame and fortune, but I know I can make a bundle as a TV pitchman.
Annie: Pitching WHAT?
Charlie: Our favorite brand of gourmet cat food!
Annie: I don’t know if downing a whole can of food in 30 seconds could really be considered “pitching” the product?!?!
Charlie: When the public sees a handsome fellow like me savoring every bite on the TV screen, they won’t be able to keep the product on the store shelves it will sell so quickly!
Annie: Oh, brother! I’m leaving. If your head swells anymore, I might be trapped in here with YOU!
