Arctic chill has a tight grip on the United States! Frigid temperatures are holding sway as far south as Florida. Farmers in the Sunshine State have been spraying their crops with water to cover them with a protective layer of ice. In fact, parts of Florida are so cold that frozen iguanas have been reported falling out of trees!

Weather forecasters are saying that snow is possible as far south as Louisiana on Thursday. They are also warning that wind chills could get down near zero at night. This is insane!

Charlie: This weather is crazy!

Annie: You’re telling me? I could really use a Caribbean cruise; it should at least be warm THERE!

Charlie: Now you’re talking! Do any of those ships have kitty accommodations?

Annie: That might be a problem. They used to have cats on ships in the old days to keep the rats under control.

Charlie: Sounds like a dream job, but I don’t think they have rodent problems on modern cruise ships!

Annie: You’re probably right. I guess we could use a little bit of that global warming we hear so much about!
