The Queen of Talk announced this week that she will be ending her run atop the daytime TV world in 2011. Oprah has ruled daytime television for two and a half decades now, but the end is in sight. Annie: I love Oprah!
Charlie: I don’t see the attraction.
Annie: Of course not! You’re not a girl!
Charlie: Whatever.
Annie: Momma records every one of her shows and then she and I curl up in bed and watch that day’s show. What are we going to do when she leaves?
Charlie: Reruns?
Annie: Don’t be silly!
Charlie: I guess you and mama will just have to find a new show to follow.
Annie: Do you have any suggestions?
Charlie: How about a fishing show on the outdoor channel?
Annie: You ARE goofy!
Charlie: Well, that’s what papa and I watch. How about one of those reality shows featuring D-List “celebrities”?
Annie: Those shows are like watching a slow motion train wreck.
Charlie: I know; that’s why they are so entertaining!
Annie: Oprah is so much more dignified than THOSE shows!
Charlie: You may have to settle for Jerry Springer.
Annie: OMG! Oprah, please don’t go!
